Does anyone know if there is a link between fatigue and IBS?

Hi Terryf57, sorry for delay in replying, I thought someone else would reply and kept meaning to check back but kept forgetting. Personally I find I get very tired with the IBS these days but that could be to do with my age, I'm 60 now. It didn't seem to make me so tired when I was young. Used to manage on 5 hours sleep a day then. Also the pain makes me tired, keep fighting it. I have also found that I feel more constipated now than I did when I was young but still feel the need to kept going to the toilet. Does any of that resonate with you. Maureen.

Hi Maureen1958 I have had ibs for many years and could manage on little sleep and rest too. I don’t think fighting the pain is making me tired. I have been told by the person who did my colonoscopy that I have a very sensitive bowel and i was wondering if my bowel was in constant contradiction whether that could make me tired. I was wondering if that might be familiar to other ibs suffers. Otherwise i was wondering if i had fatigue
