Is it just coincidence that so many members suffer with this or a related condition?Perhaps Monash could look into this!
Fybromyalgia: Is it just coincidence that so... - IBS Network

I believe some are starting to really look into the connection of healthy gut to many diseases. To include that of fibro... I know personally if they are not connected full body pain and severe loss of energy has to be linked to IBS and gut issues.
I agree with you.i have fibremalagia and suffer bad pains in my stomach.im waiting to hear from some tests ive had done and up to now consultant thinks it could be ibs.im tired all the while no energy and no appettite.if it is ibs, mine has no ryhme or reason.only anxiety and im a worrier which i try so hard not to do.
Hi torchy
I just read the last line of your reply above & wondered if you've tried meditation for your anxiety ? There are some really good "guided meditations" on you tube. They really help me to relax. Just thought I'd mention this. Wishing you well.
Thank you agood.i do listen to meditation on you tube yes there are some really good ones on there.i try and listen every night.best wishes.x
Equally I think much more research needs to be done into the relationship between the development of diverticulitis from IBSC particularly and the resultant problems that can lead to .This has been a recurring theme on here over the years but not one that is often explicitly spelt out !
I think every researcher into IBS should be reading these posts!
There is a lot of thought now that gut health is pivotal.... common sense! But not enough research.
Maybe the thing is not to focus on the "curing" the resulting disease, but on getting and keeping a healthy gut !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For me, the first symptom of an unhealthy gut was abject tiredness and brain fog plus aching all over, not constipation or D .
I can live with the C and D , but exhaustion is insurrmountable. 95% better now on low FODMAP diet!
