Has anyone gone out on disability from their job for ibs?

Gave my job up a few years ago as things were so difficult, money is so tight, don,t think you can claim any help as I have a working partner. Miss work so much. Good luck hope you can sort things out

Your employer could dismiss you on the grounds of capability if you are incapable of doing your job due to a medical condition. Your employer would need to consider reasonable adjustments to allow you to remain at work and be seen to have done all they can before a decision is made about your employment. It helps to show you are doing all you can to return and present ideas for them to consider such as more toilet breaks, working close to a toilet, decreased working hours. Hope this helps.
