My daughter has had treatment for latent Tb

So in today review of my daughter who is just about to be 15 who was diagnosed with latent Tb back in January and completed the medication for three months . Well in the last two weeks I have noticed her coughing but more noticeable in the last 24 hours but I’ve been lateral swabbing her but now been asked to rule covid out with a pcr test. The consultant was like let’s just ensure we can rule it out and check she wasn’t very concerned but my husband is an absolute wreck once again. It’s like it’s never ending has anyone else been treated for it and then it’s activated ?? sammi

It would be very bad luck if she was to have it. She has been treated for latent so put that behind you, the only thing left now would be to pick up a fresh strain from someone active. If you know of nobody active then her cough will be unrelated. I don’t think you need to worry x
