Complicated case , expert advice needed

Hi,

I was diagnosed with mdr tb in 2020.I started shorter regimen.Taken kanamycin, isozonacid, etionamide for 4 months.moxi, ethombutol, clofazimine for 9 months. Actually I didn't get any of my culture report due to irregularity & carelessness of medical assistants here.

During last four months my smear was negative .But after my treatment was over, after 2 weeks I was again tested pos for smear & then cbnaat.

Then i started all oral regimen.

But the culture sample sent before my treatment initiation came negative.Also my 9th month culture came negative.What should be done in my case .

I am suffering from tinnitus, ear pain due to these medications

Current treatment -

Bedaquiline, moxifloxacin, clofazimine, linezolid, & cycloserine.

Can anyone discuss the whole case & tell me what should be done now?

Unfortunately I think it needs the opinion of a medical expert and we are a community of people who currently have TB or have finished TB treatment. It is best to speak to your doctor as we only have our own experiences and information that we look up online.

Hi AkshatJain, Soul01 gave you some good advice there - this sounds like a complex case and only a qualified medical doctor with access to your full case history can give you the information you need.

You can always ask a second doctor for advice if you are unhappy with the information you receive from the first. It is also a good idea to keep a note of all your symptoms and questions so you have it to hand when you do speak with a doctor.
