TB and Covid

Hey all.. just found out my husband is covid positive today. I have tested negative although I feel a bit rundown cold and sneezing. Just wondering what my chances are still undergoing Tb meds and having covid interns of recovery. Feeling really anxious about it. Has anyone had covid whilst on treatment? Any advice would be helpful

Hi. I am not an expert so I can only say what I have read. The general view is that getting COVID whilst on TB treatment shouldn’t cause any additional problems and also that TB treatment doesn’t weaken the immune system.

There might be someone on the forum with more detailed knowledge than me.

Hi that’s a relief to know… thank you for your response. I did contact my Tb nurse she said keep an eye on symptoms and if it gets worse get help and keep taking my Tb meds.

Definitely stick with the TB treatment.
