Has anyone experienced quick build up of mucus after breakfast. For me it happens continously for one or two hours after breakfast. I never feel urge to cough but the mucus does get produced in upper left chest which was actually the area doctor mentioned TB did the damage.
I'm into 8 months of treatment but I only have this issue bothering me since past 3 months. Anyone else? Please share if you do have this and if there was any diagnosis regarding this.

Bearing in mind you say it occurs after eating have you considered if it relates to your salivary glands? Maybe keep a diary of symptoms... what you ate, any jaw pain, any possible allergies like pollen? Is it worth trying to clear your sinuses ( like blowing your nose) before eating breakfast and see if that helps? Does it occur when eating other times of the day? If you are still troubled by it maybe you should speak to your doctor as it may be totally unrelated to the TB.
Its still not totally right after eating about usually between 10 am to 1 pm. I do get needle piercing like pain in center chest which is also weird.
The first thing is that the phlegm itself is always clear , no blood or yellowishness so the doctor just didnt care much when I told her about it.
Second, I am getting acid reflux and heart burn a lot due to rifampin. Doctor suspected GERD to be the cause and gave me gaviscom to counter heart burn. It helped a bit but still the acidity and phlegm is there.
The other thing being I never get urge to cough, I just feel phlegm stuck as air goes in or out. Doctor knows all this but she said that the xray shows that everything is normal, so she didnt worry too much.
I have no clue whats the cause, I'm going to ask my doctor to do another sputum test and confirm first that its not tb and hope to go forward after that
Well, you are doing the correct thing in still going back to your doctor as clearly it is troubling you. What does seem unusual is you are most troubled by it between 10 to 1pm so it still makes me think that’s when the build up of phlegm is worse and that it possibly eases later in the day and you don’t mention it troubling you overnight. Whilst you are waiting to see your doctor again do keep a diary of symptoms.... could it be a particular food setting it off? Does the phlegm build overnight as you are lying down but gradually clear in day when you are upright and moving about? Is it an allergy, say pollen or a good type? Is a medicine causing the phlegm build up? Maybe ask doctor to consider something that isn’t TB related. I do hope you get the help you need soon.
I don't see phlegm building over night. One thing I didn't Mention is that the area where phlegm comes from has a weird blocking vibrating effect if I put hand on my chest and breathe from my mouth.
Also, when a drink any fluid, i feel like the fluid kind off touches off that area which is again very weird. I also suspect it can be due to dryness but im not sure
I think you are giving very clear indications of your symptoms so you need to ensure your doctor listens and continues to do tests to work out what is causing it. If you feel this doctor is not listening can you ask for a different doctor? Don’t give up.
Btw thanks for replying atleast. TB has been so depressive for me and I'm away from my parents here so living alone makes it so difficult to really converse through the issues with others
