Hello everyone, I am 23 and 16 months back i got diagnosed with MDR TB. I took the vigorous 9 month regime which was very difficult but now im TB negative.
The only problem is that i am a Korean and we people have very light skin but since i took the medication, my skin became ultra sensitive to sunlight and has darkened a lot. Now people who see me think i am a tourist from a tropical country as i have become very dark.
I asked my doctor and he said that they are the side effects of the drugs. i took the medicines like moxifloxacin, Ethionamide, Kanamycin,Pyrazinimide etc. It's been 5 months since i finished my drugs but my skin has not returned to it's previous self.
What i wanted to know is are there any asians who have been throgh the same problem?? Is there any remedy to this? Or how long do i have to wait to get my normal white skin back?
Thankyou
