So, Yesterday, I emailed NEDA (National Eating Disorder Association) because I think I have an eating disorder. The lady who replied was super helpful and gave me a bunch of information and advice. But, she said the best thing to do is to get professional help, but I cant tell my parents at all!!

I felt the same - real fear at talking to my parents - but when I did it was such an amazing release - they were fantastic - and although they didn't understand and found it hard - they got me treatment and help which is what I needed. I don't know how old you are - but please do talk to someone about your struggles - you need professional help and treatment for your illness - and that is what it is - so go to your GP - a school/college nurse - I know how hard it is to talk about - but I know from experience not dealing with it and not getting treatment leads to long term problems and a wasted life - good luck - take courage - take the first step - get the help you need.
