Docetaxel or Xtandi
The options presented to me were either
Xtandi
followed by Provenge if
Xtandi
is effective, or Docetaxel followed by Provenge if the Docetaxel is effective.

I have tried and ultimately failed everything including
Xtandi
and Taxotere. Out of options except possibly to Europe. A bit worried about physically making the trip. I have bone pain from fractures and cancer.

Long Overdue Update
Two months later PSA rising again and
Xtandi
started. Nadir .78, but after 4 months PSA started rising again. At my last post my husband was refusing chemo. Right after that we received a scan showing “innumerable” new lesions on his spine and ribs. PSA was skyrocketing, and he started chemo STAT.

Diethylstilbestrol when faced with "economic constraint".
We see so many posts on Zytiga,
Xtandi
& even more expensive drugs. This study is from Lahore, Pakistan & reports on DES [Diethylstilbestrol] use in CRPC cases.

What's next?
With Mets to bones we added
Xtandi
and My PSA dropped to .015 We recently stopped the
Xtandi
as I wasn't tolerating it well. My PSA climbed a bit to .22 but we've decided to wait 3 months to see what it does. They are thinking Zytiga with Prednisone next. Staying positive!

Zero Gravity Massage Chair & NO Pain ! ! !
I certainly do NOT get up thinking about Prostates, or cancer, or
Xtandi
, or Lupron.... He is a little rough on me...(in a good way)...but in the end I am Joy-filled. All morning long I look forward to this 80 minute(appx) "time out" for just me.

What to Ask?
He’s done Docetaxel, he’s on Lupron and is currently failing
Xtandi
. What to ask for next steps? We are trying to go on a clinical trial at UCSF but things are moving slowly.

Xtandi vs Zytiga for mHSPCa
I was just reading about the success of
Xtandi
in the Phase III ARCHES trial when given along with ADT for extending radiographic PFS in mHSPCa. I’m trying to remember how this compares to Zytiga but am suffering from information overload at the moment. Does anyone know? Randall

Two new advanced hormonal agents (apalutamide and enzalutamide) increase survival in metastatic hormone sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC)
New indications for 2 previously approved drugs - Erleada and
Xtandi
. I don't have all the details yet on
Xtandi
, but it is clearly successful for mHSPC. I'll update after the ASCO meeting. Here's what I know so far: https://pcnrv.blogspot.com/2019/05/two-new-advanced-hormonal-agents.html
