Hello old friends... Em is back! (WARNING: references to ventilation and severe illness)
The
Xolair
is (we hope) controlling my asthma. My sleep apnoea is diagnosed and treated. My exercise tolerance is improving. And now I'm getting depressed. Apparently this sort of timing is not uncommon, illogical though it may seem.

Xolair - Yippee!
I'm hoping the
Xolair
helps with the spores as that's allergy based, but I don't know about the cold. Anyone got any experience of
Xolair
here? Anyway, I just wanted to share the good news :)

Xolair Treatment and Pregnancy can anyone help??
There is no data on the effects of
xolair
during pregnancy for the unborn baby and I have had conflicting information, A
xolair
rep advised that treatment should be stopped during pregnancy and there are observational registry services for
xolair
patients during pregnancy....this makes me nervous.

Xolair
going to be in an IgE of >5000? -Is
Xolair
worth trying at all with an IgE like this? Simi x

Funding of treatment
I know others on here have had trouble getting
Xolair
and the like and wondered if there was anyone who had any advice on how I might get my treatment sooner. Hope everyone else is doing OK and enjoying the extra day off this week. Take care Rabbit

I am in need of advice regarding
xolair
. My consultant has now decided that he thinks I need to go on, but he said that I need approval for funding. Does any one know what the criteria is for it. He repeated by IGE levels today am waiting for the results.

Moan- always vowed I'd never do this!
Eventually 2 years ago I was accepted for funding for
xolair
- my last resort- and it worked!! My asthma was 80% improved- reduced pred to 5-10mg (was on 40mg maintance dose) and could get on with my life although a little limited.

whatever next.. where to go from here :(
KEEP ME WELL AND OUT OF COSTA. i just want my life back, you know...he says, to be honest, i am on maximum treatment as it is, so the last resort is to trial
Xolair
trial... yet as i am not an allergic person - normally triggered by mostly irritants rather than allergens, dont raise my hopes too high

Good Doctor
She said she thought that I would benefit from
Xolair
so she has written a letter to my Resp Consultant for that to included in my treatment plan. It was great to see such an understanding and caring doctor

Xolair stories...
My cons have decided that this is probably the next step in treatment for me now. I was just wondering if anybody on here has had it/is still on it? If so... Has it worked/not worked? What side effects have you had? and have you been able to reduce the meds you were on before because of it? Any replies

Hi again, As you know I went to see my number one consultant to see whether I was a suitable candidate for
Xolair
. Well after waiting for a week for them to ring me I phoned the docs secretary to see what was happening.
