Radical radiotherapy - any uplifting stories?
Mum was diagnosed at stage 3B and has started chemo (Cisplatin +
Vinorelbine
). Been offered to add radical radiotherapy as a concurrent treatment - 33 sessions over 6.5 weeks. Onc seems pessimistic saying it's palliative (I can only assume because of the stage?)

Docetaxel and Nintedanib
M0) in May 2014 and since then have been treated initially with Cisplatin and
vinorelbine
plus radiotherapy which gave me a year of no evidence of disease. In December 2015 it returned and I was treated early this year with Carboplatin and something else which I've forgotten.

Is the Subtype of Lung Cancer NSCLC important in establishing treatment options?
They have started her on chemo (
Vinorelbine
+ Cisplatin). Handling it amazingly and will start her second cycle soon. Radiotherapy may also be added depending on PET scan results (should know this week).

Cisplatin/Vinorelbine and diabetes
He is to be started on Cisplatin and
Vinorelbine
very soon. He also has had diabetes for some time. I am assuming he will be at increased risk of peripheral neuropathy because of his diabetes.

Ovarian cancer in my breast?
I was changed to
Vinorelbine
every 3 weeks and off a week. over the next 4 months suddenly developed ascites in my belly and a rash and bumps on my breasts. Mamogram and ultrasound done. they removed 2 liters from my belly and a biopsy to my breast showed ovarian cancer on and in my breasts!

There is hope!
I had Radiotherapies and chemotherapies together at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - I was treated with cistplatin and
Vinorelbine
and it made me very poorly indeed and at one point I vomited for 9 days consecutively!
