Recently diagnosed with 'possible allergy related' asthma and hoping to get some answers
Also the
Ventolin
doesn't take away my cough more than 1 hour. Sometimes it merely just reduces it. Does this sound right? Thankyou in advance and sorry if this seems so obvious to everyone. Megan

Lavender essential oil.
Along with Braitus inhaler every morning, and (too) frequent use of
Ventolin
, I only just managed not to suffocate it seemed. But then I bought lavender oil to use in my diffuser. After a few days I definitely felt better. I stopped wheezing, and at last was able to get a couple of hours' sleep.

Inhalers one or two?
I recall reading an article stating that GP's were giving out far too many single inhalers, and that research showed that if you had the blue inhaler (
Ventolin
/salbutamol etc) you would do better if you had the preventative brown inhaler also.

I remember coughing for weeks, went to the Spanish doctor, had a xray he was cross and said you have a very bad bronchitis, got my first
Ventolin
and 3 weeks doxy. Forgot to say I had developed an allergy to penicillin so left with what he called a third rate antibiotic!

Newbie. Hi everyone. Any help advice for any extra treatments appreciated. Xx
Have a nebulising machine with
Ventolin
and saline to get the horrid mucus up. Been put on different sprays and higher saline that is strong and really makes you cough your lungs up. Gradually been more tired and less energy. Very depressed as use to be a very hyper fun lady.

Coping with boredom
I’m out of things to watch on Netflix and normally I like cross stitching but that’s a bit of a challenge at the moment with the
ventolin
shakes! 😂

Updated pneumonia.
I had had two lots of
ventolin
before it happened but because I couldn’t get it in me it wasn’t working. I took some more when I got into bed. After a while of coughing up mucus I could breathe again rapidly but easier.

Inhalers and heart rate
I need
Ventolin
(salbutamol) pretty often, but I hate the fact that it makes my heart beat fast. Any thoughts?

1st Annual Review
I do have a
ventolin
inhaler but fortunately never have the need to use it. I was diagnosed following an X-ray after having had a nasty chest infection.

Pneumonia update.
My
ventolin
helps after I’ve been to the bathroom but even then I’ve got a job to breathe the
ventolin
in. After about five minutes it gets a bit better. I’m still breathless all the time and still weak. The Dr examined my chest and apparently I still have the crackles in my left lung.

Difficult Asthma since April.
But there has been no let up and it is worse now, I am taking Clenil 200 3 to 4 puffs a day and I am still needing my
Ventolin
and some days I go the whole day without getting my breath properly. Anyone had any similar problems this year?

Rescue inhaler and Anxiety?
I have issues with panic attacks, and I have a
Ventolin
(albuterol) inhaler. I have very mild asthma. It says that being "jittery" is a side effect of using the inhaler. Does this mean it could trigger a panic attack if I use it?

Asthma flare not settling....
Hi all, I'm a (usually) well controlled asthmatic on Seretide 125 twice daily with very occasional use of
ventolin
. About a month ago after a week of camping/being outdoors, my asthma flared (tight chest, no wheeze or cough) and I was started on Pred 40mgs daily for 5 days.

Trouble loading symbicort turbohaler 😞
Also, I was told not to use my
ventolin
, but to use the symbicort as my preventer and reliever instead - I am not sure what to do if my symptoms worsen though. Any advice would be appreciated. Hope you have a lovely weekend, Flossie 😊 xx

Ventolin
for 2 yrs when I was told I had late on set Asthma, I asked if I can stop taking the Inhalers then ,

Inhaler side effects
I used to be on a light brown one (unsure of the correct name) but stopped taking it 2/3 years back and just use the
Ventolin
when I need to.
