Low TSH
I had a partial
Thyroidectomy
in 1995. I’ve been on Thyroxine since then & been stable for years on 75mcgs. Briefly I saw Endocrine last year & was informed I had been undermedicated for several years.I had a dose increase to 100mcg then again 8 weeks later to 125mcgs.

TSH query
Hi everyone, my daughter is amazingly pregnant 🎉 despite having cancer and full
thyroidectomy
. Her TSH was always suppressed prior to this but is now raised. Was 4.5 then 3.5 and last one 3.7. They have increased her thyroxine again. Any other thing she could be doing to help bring it down??

TSH &T4 levels after total thyroidectomy
I’m 6 years post TT and generally all TSH and T4 tests have been broadly in range and I’ve been feeling quite good. This time(6 months ) things seem different and I wonder if others have the same experience? TSH has reduced below normal levels and T4 are normal but my symptoms are as if TSH is too high

Levothyroxine and Menopause
Hi all, I had thyroid cancer many years ago and had a
thyroidectomy
. I’ve been on levothyroxine for 21 years. I’m in my early 50’s and menopausal. I’ve started HRT which still needs to adjusted BUT the Endocrinologist is lowering my levothyroxine.

Strange thyroid test results?
TSH - 0.07 (0.27-4.2) Free T4 - 12.8 (12.0-22.0) Free T3 - 3.7 (3.1-6.8) I've been struggling since my
thyroidectomy
in August 2019. In May I started a trial of Armour Thyroid, two and a half grains, and have been on this for nearly 7 weeks.

Swollen & sore neck after thyroidectomy
Hi Everyone, I had a
thyroidectomy
three weeks ago. My wound is healing well but my whole neck is still very swollen and sore. I also have very lumpy lymph nodes above my wound. Can anyone tell me if this normal please?

thyroidectomy
hi I had a near total
thyroidectomy
in feb due to hashimotos thyroiditis causing a large multinodular goitre in my neck. I’ve just had my latest bloods back T4 is 18.2 and TSH is 1.68. I’m struggling with physical exhaustion and joint pain more so than before.

worried about thyroidectomy
hi everyone, I’m new here’ but not new to thyroid issues unfortunately. I got diagnosed with graves in 2017 after the birth of my first baby. Since then I have had countless relapses, they’ve all been managed with Carbimazole/ptu but as time goes on the time between relapses is getting way shorter and

Thyroidectomy
Just had my thyroid removed two days ago. Had very sudden growth of nodules (over 5cm) and had large nodules on both sides. So only option was complete removal. Not sure what to expect now. Started on calcium and Euthyrox (100ug) (Levothyroxine). Feel OK, a bit buzzy and lightheaded but I guess that

vitamin B12
Hi, I had a total
thyroidectomy
7 years ago, I have fibromyalgia and CFS but recently my fatigue and joint aches and pains are unbearable. My most recent blood tests show my Serum Vitamin B12 to be at 282ng/l would you say this is on the low side?

Your Advice Needed for Dr appointment
I had
thyroidectomy
when it grew so large and into my chest that it affected my breathing. All = <0.1 miu/L (0.3 - 4 miu/L) So would I be right in thinking that the TSH is not necessarily relevant to my dosage and how I'm feeling.

Parathyroid identification by autofluorescence – preliminary report on five cases of surgery for primary hyperparathyroidism
[/i] Open Access: https://bmcsurg.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12893-019-0590-9 I wonder if it could be exploited during
thyroidectomy
to help avoid damage to parathyroids?

Multinodular goiter
Although I have no pain, nor swallowing or breathing problems, I have been proposed a subtotal
thyroidectomy
immediately, cause a scintigraphy showed that the lower part of my thyroid doesn't absorb enough radioactivity (no cold nodules though) to be treated with it.

Total thyroidectomy
I had a TT in Aug 21 for hashimotos which went to Graves’ disease and large multi modular goitre. Since surgery I was on 150mcg thyroxine which was reduced after 6 weeks to 125mcg and have been on that dose since . My last bloods showed that I was now possibly being over medicated but Gp said they would

Sudden Tiredness
Is it normal after a
thyroidectomy
to get sudden tiredness. It doesn't happen often but sometimes it just hits me and I feel tired and it makes me anxious. I don't remember feeling like this before my
thyroidectomy
so wondered if other people have felt like this since theirs?
