Use of spacer device, confused?
Hi, I have recently started using seretide from an MDI and spacer device, this is the first time I have used a spacer device as previously I had used
symbicort
but it had got to the point where it was affecting my voice too much.

I am lost in a pile of empty inhaler cannisters!!
Would it make sense to ask for the
symbicort
400 and have two puffs per day or stick to the 4 puffs per day of
symbicort
200 and continue to add to the worlds landfill? or 2. Any ideas for artistic creations or recycling rules or suggestions for the emptys? Sorry but i do hate waste!! Pinky

Advice needed please about options & where next, on step 4 management?
Never been on
Symbicort
for example or theophylline? Is there much difference/benefit between the different steroid inhalers? Had been on various doses up to max Beclometasone before I couldn't stand the non CFC taste of Clenil.

Change of inhaler
Thing is I've been on 4 doses of the
symbicort
for a long time and it does seems a jump to go down to one dose of seretide and I feel uneasy about it. Is Seretide stronger or does it just work differently to
Symbicort
?

Reliever Alternatives: Ventolin and Bricanyl not working
Hi There, My son aged 8 is on
Symbicort
100/6, and Bricanyl 0.5 turbohaler as a reliever. He was moved across in July from Beclmatosome and ventolin to try to control his symptoms better. We always found that Ventolin did not seem to relieve his asthmatic cough (his main symptom).

the shakes
I'm only on 4 puffs a day of
symbicort
200/6 and salbutamol when needed but I seem to have really bad shakes in my hands most of the day. Could this be the meds or is it something else????? Just wondered if it happened to anyone else? Smithy

Asthma - making me fat and unhappy
It started off with nebs and prednisolone courses and then I went onto Seretide 500 (from
symbicort
) - it worked initially, but lately I am feeling dreadful again.

Alternative to seretide????
I used to be on
symbicort
but that gave me the shakes really badly so I went onto seretide. It works great for me but unfortunately it's really affecting my vocal cords even though I'm taking it through a spacer.

Becotide and serevent vs seretide and symbicort
I used to be on becotide and serevent a couple of years ago and don't recall having any complaints with it but was then put on
symbicort
which was ok but made me shake a lot.

Fostair - anyone using this?
Hi I am currently taking
Symbicort
200/6 - 8 puffs a day and Spiriva dry 18mcg which has given me pretty good control since I started the spiriva. I have had a flare up for no apparent reason which has not settled despite a short course of Pred.
