Pulmonary rehab cancelled
Don't think new inhalers
Spiriva
and Symbicort are doing me much good. On them for 5 weeks now, and breathing seems worse to me, and not sure they suit me. Really struggling and fed up!

Spiriva Respimat
I recently tried to change from
Spiriva
Handihaler to
Spiriva
Respimat. I thought it would be easier to use since I find the little capsules hard to open and they occasionally seem to be "duds". However, the
Spiriva
Respimat makes me extremely dizzy and causes chest tightness and dull pain.

Maybe I am lucky. Living with COPD.
I take Symbicort 400 twice a day and
Spiriva
morning only. I do not cough or have extreme mucus. I lead quite an active life,as much as posso and have very few "down" days. Dolce Vita.

Since that change I have also tried non-corticosteroids like
Spiriva
and Eklira but in the end they were not working for me. Throughout this 'messing about time' (Feb - May '16) I can't tell you how bad I have felt.

Just been told I have very mild Emphysema.
The next day I had an appointment with my COPD doctor after another spirometry test, that I had very mild emphysema, borderline on the top of your lungs, just visible and to continue with only
SPIRIVA
. He told me that I don't have to come back to the clinic anymore.

How to Get Mucus out of lungs?
I have had chronic bronchitis for years, and I have used
Spiriva
Handihaler and Albuterol, but even with my insurance I only get them now and then. I have so much mucus in my lungs and it never comes up. I wheeze etc when I exhale. I wonder if there are some ways to get the mucus up.

Meds from All Day Chemist
My drug plan does not cover
spiriva
or any of the other inhalers I need, so I have been ordering from All Day Chemists which are based in India. There have been some bad reviews about them; has anyone taken their inhalers or any other meds and had any problems?

Diagnosed at 43
I don't need oxygen therapy because of air trapping, instead I use 5 inhalers (Advir, Quvar,
Spiriva
, Atrovent,& ProAir). I also have to take 10-20mg of Prednisone daily along with Singular & bi-weekly injections of Xolair.

I'm at a bit of a loss
I'm currently taking fostair 100/6 ,
spiriva
, salbutamol, montelukast, phyllocontin, fexofenadine, and have had repeated courses of prednisolone until about January this year when my consultant decided to keep me on 30mg maintenance dose. None of these meds seem to make a great deal of difference.

Back to the Dr yesterday for COPD clarification
New inhaler prescribed, now have
Spiriva
18 micro gram in a HandiHaler, which I take once every 24hrs so fits in better with my work, as is difficult to take meds into a prison! So I will see how I get on with it. Does anyone else take
Spiriva
?

Living with COPD
I use two inhalers
Spiriva
& Symbicort and are on 24/7 oxygen. I'm also a carbon dioxide retainer and have to sleep with a CPap mask. After a year of having constant bronchitis and pneumonia and taking numerous doses of steroids and antibiotics I developed a lung tumor that was cancer.

Stress affect COPD?
I am newly diagnosed with stage 1 COPD (almost two months ago) which I have a inhaler for once a day (
Spiriva
). Tuesday was the first time I have had to use the rescue inhaler that I have also. Is this common, has anyone else had this? Is this what is known as an exacerbation?

New and just saw pulmonary specialist
He still gave me
Spiriva
sample and actually made me take it in his office. This made me nervous (probably just because a new med but not sure). Is taking this
Spiriva
going to stop the progression of the copd or just supposed to improve my breathing that I am not suffering with at this time.

Can anyone explain to me how often exacerbations are "supposed" to be happening?
On
Spiriva
, Symbicort, Proventil, and nebulizer. I do fall short on taking all my meds on time. I wonder if that is why I keep getting infections.

Living With Copd
I have heard of a new drug called Stiolto Respimat which is a once a day dual inhaler which apparently is a great improvement on what I use just now, Symbicort and
Spiriva
. The new drug is also steroid free and available on the NHS.
