I have been asthmatic for a few years now, and am currently taking
Seretide
125 2 puffs 2x daily as well as Ventolin as and when. I have previously had to take Prednisolone tablets as well as A & E trips for nebs etc etc.

Spirometry
I'm a little bit confused because I went for a spirometry test today because I saw a doctor a while ago as my asthma was bad and she increased me to 4 puffs of
seretide
twice a day and said i should have this test. So I went today, and I was really excited because the nurse said it was really good!

Worried about asthma/chest infection
She said I was on the maximum dose of the type of inhalers I use (
Seretide
100 accuhaler and Salamol easi-breathe 100), and told me to see the doctor as she was concerned I may need more antibiotics as I was still bringing up mucus.

Advice please....
I am taking antibiotics but when I went to GP the other day I was prescribed
Seretide
250/25. I understand now that this is a very strong dose and I had a rapid heart rate (140 beats per minute).

Pins and needles
I am on montelukast and uniphylin tablets daily and also ventolin and
seretide
inhalers. I have checked my peak flow and it is normal and I have not had any more caffeine than normal so I doubt that I am toxic. Any ideas? Any help appreciated. Many thanks.

I'm new! Sybricort Vs Seretide
After the attack i went to ask my GP if he thought I could go back on
seretide
and he said I could do what i liked (not very helpful), and my con appointment has been changed from monday, to another 2 weeks away. Do you think it would matter if i changed back?

Seretide/Symbicort
Could anybody tell me whether
Seretide
is a stronger inhaler than Symbicort? Or is it that they are just completely different medications. I have had a higher peak flow with
Seretide
but have recently been put on Symbicort because of the shakiness I had from
Seretide
.

Asthma attack?
just a quick question, i've recently been put on a higher strength preventer
seretide
500 twice a day and ventolin when required but i still get tight chested and short of breath. i know asthma has different symptoms but as i still get these symptoms i don't think my asthma is under control.

8 week long asthma problem
Am on
seretide
(100 3 times a day), singulair and too much ventolin. I've had lots of different advice from GP's (never easy to see the same one twice!). One strategy did work: to take a couple of puffs of my usual preventer with the
seretide
