where to go next?
I'm on seretide,
salbutamol
, omeprazole, gaviscon and cetirizine. I'm spiralling out of control with my asthma at the moment.

Breathlessness-went back to see GP
Prescribed
Salbutamol
and Qvar100. SOB was constant and when I saw GP yesterday she prescribed 7 day course of Presidone 5mg. Day 2 of taking them so they haven't really kicked in yet.

Breathless and really worried............ is this what to expect at moderate stage or should I have inhalors upped
I was given inhalors
Salbutamol
100mcg 2 puffs 4 times a day and Beclometasone 100mcg 2 pufs twice a day. I will go back and discuss as I was so in shock that I could not think of questions to ask.

Recently diagnosed
I was given
Salbutamol
and Beclometasone inhalers. I am still feeling breathless even with using them. It is so hot these last few days and could that be the reason? My nose is blocked and that makes me panic when cant breath. I can breath ok via mouth.

Ventolin/salbutamol reliever nearly expired
The ""new"" (i.e. unused) inhaler is the same kind (blue Ventolin Evohaler of 100 micrograms
salbutamol
sulphate) was prescribed in December 2011 and is stamped to expire in June 2013. Is it still OK to use? When they expire do they just lose their effectiveness or are they actually harmful?

Does it sound like she will ""grow out of it""?
We now have an asthma plan of
salbutamol
and the brown inhaler (2 puffs morning and night) which has helped her fantastically well. She is being seen by the paed again in September to see how she is getting on. Does it sound like she will grow out of it if she is already on all these meds?

Flixotide nebules
I'm tempted to ask my consultant if we can try them - I find flixotide really irritates my throat and takes away my voice, and as I find
salbutamol
easier to deal with in a neb, I was hoping I might the Flixotide too. We are running out of options, and I'll do all I can to avoid Methotrexate!

Asthma medication side effects - 5 yr old
She is now 5yrs old and takes seritide &
salbutamol
via a spacer. She also has montelucast which has recently been changed from the granules to the chewable tablet following her 2nd hospital admission of this year. She takes the montelucast every night and has done so since the age of 2-3yrs.

Advice for severe asthma and 1st consultant appt?
I have always been able to manage my asthma with becotide inhalers at 100mcg - 200mcg dose per day and use
salbutamol
reliever whenever I need it for flare ups. Even during my illness I have been able to control my asthma until recently. I took antibiotics long term for 2 years to treat my illness.
