Slow to Heal
- 76 - or is it the medication - Fostair and
Salbutamol
? I often cut or knock myself on arms or legs in the garden. If the skin does not break on my arms they are usually covered in blood bruises just under the skin. The last open wound on my leg has taken nearly three weeks to completely heal.

Inhalers
I always have difficulty knowing when my
Salbutamol
inhaler is empty and was given a tip to help me establish how full the container was. Simply pull the container off the holder and put it in a glass of water. If it sinks to the bottom, then it's full. If it floats, then it's totally empty.

Atypical Asthma in Hospital
I threw a (very weak, very quiet) tantrum until they gave me
salbutamol
, but that took nearly 2 hours of continuing respiratory distress on my part. Finally, they wanted to discharge me when I was still utterly reliant on oxygen.

The problem bothering me at present is that I use
Salbutamol
inhaler and Fostair and Tiotropium all through a spacer, I have repeated cycles of Oral and Viginal Thrush. This has been going on for at least 4 years, I am being treated with Flucomazole which, obvious to me, isn't doing the trick.

Dry cough for over 4 months
The label says
salbutamol
sulphate 100 micrograms. If it is asthma, should I be feeling a lot better after using this? I can't say I noticed much difference. Or maybe it is a cumulative thing. My current doc is very helpful and I trust her.

Copd
I have the pink inhaler 2 puffs in the morning and night and
salbutamol
when needed through passive smoking with my husband smoking near me. I had an x-Ray which said this, but also work with dusty notes at the local hospital. So my husband keeps saying it isn't his fault.

Just diagnosed...
Non - smoker Age 51 Taking one puff of
salbutamol
morning and evening followed by a puff of beclametasone. Still wheezing minutes after using blue inhaler- use it up to 6 times a day, but helps peak flow- went from 370 this evening to 420. Still coughing as well- green gunk at times, (sorry!)

Hi from the hospital!
Back-to-Back
salbutamol
+ ipratroprium nebs, Prednisolone which I somehow managed to neck between nebs, IV Magnesium, oxygen..all in. I had ECGs done, heart monitor on, O2, nebs, all of that, and just very very narrowly escaped ventilation.

Inhaler holiday
Day #5, inhaler holiday. While at work the last 4 days, I ran 5 flights of stairs, 5 times, 4 times a day. Hiked today, as high as I could get, fast as I could go. Plenty of PLB, but sometimes it is hard to regulate my breathing going up. Seem to recover ok, once I hit some flatter ground. I jogged home

Put a temporary hold on my Dulera and Spiriva
And Albuterol. I have SOB on them, off them. I have been on/off the Dulera since Jan. I stopped taking in the past when this all began in Jan because I did not notice a difference. I started again a couple weeks ago per my GP, and don't feel much different. On Spiriva almost a month, not much difference

Methotrexate lung issues
Ive developed a wheeze and been put on
Salbutamol
inhalers and 40mg of pred a day for 2 days, tomorrow being my last, then back to my regular pred dose. I've been told to stop MTX (was on 25mg injection a week) Has anyone experienced issues with their lungs after being on MTX? How did it present?

Search for a new Pulm
So my Pulm released me as a patient today. I had emailed an update. I had mentioned I saw my PCP and that he recommended I use my Dulera which I had stopped. My Pulm said it was counterproductive to see "several" different physicians for the same problem, even though I only see him and my PCP. Mentioned

Alcohol during asthma exacerbations
I get really bad shakes & heart racing from the
salbutamol
nebs & having a small drink helps take that away.
