Last week when I went to see the nurse practioner my inhalers were changed to budesonide 400, oxis and montelukast because apparently they are not allowed to prescribe flixotide any more.It shouldn't have caused any problems because

All Change - Take control of stress, Make your GP work!
my asthma is still there - I still use my medication and my
rhinitis
is still there. But gone are days of wheezing and feeling faint. No more peakflow diary - I've taken control of my body, I went back to the respiratory consultant and he discharged me but reffered me to physiotherapy.

types of inhalors/use of spacers
I was wondering what people thought of the different inhalors that are available? i'm often asked if i want a dried powder, an acuhalor, a turbohalor, an easie-breathe and it can get quite confusing. Currently y Symbicort is a turbo-halor, then i have a salamol easi-breath and salbutamol MDI with spacer

Hospital Consultants
Hi all just wondered if anyone had requested a different hospital than the one allocated? I'm currently being seen by the respiratory team at St Mary's Hospital on the Isle of Wight. The only problem is they keep canceling my appointments and moving them back. I'm now not due to see the consultant until

Constant productive cough and voice problems
I've always been a bit 'allergic' - nettle rash etc and I have perennial
rhinitis
. I think I picked up a viral infection in July, last year, no sneezing or cough, just felt awful. Then I started to cough and clear my throat-incessantly.

Pycnogenol
Have seen articles in newsapapers about Pycnogenol. It is also referred to on this asthma site news as ""'An add-on treatment made from pine bark extract may help to improve the symptoms of children with mild to moderate asthma, suggests a new study."" This was in 2005. Would appreciate your comments

Upgrade/ downgrade... whatever!
(3) All this is realising that house dust, at least, will provoke an allergic response, asthma and allergic
rhinitis
, as well as cold/hot air exchanges, laughing too much and who knows what, let's say, the world! (4) No more seasonal decorations in the house - no, not ever again!
