Periactin

Cyproheptadine: sold under the brand name Periactin or Peritol, is a first-generation antihistamine with additional anticholinergic, antiserotonergic, and local anesthetic properties. It is a 5-HT2A receptor antagonists.

We just started giving our 5 year old son cyproheptadine (Periactin) for appetite stimulation to counter the effects of stimulants. It's only been a few days, but we are seeing some positive results. Is anyone else using this medication? Have you found it helpful?

We have trialled many migraine tablets (triptans, periactin, etc, etc) aspirin, nuerofen, paracetamol, Pizotifen (Sandomigran), Endep (Amitriptyline).
