Hypothyroidism, Euthyroidism and Hyperthyroidism can be regarded as differently regulated entities

Levothyroxine with breakfast? – Maybe not...
Happened to see two papers which compare taking levothyroxine in the morning well away from breakfast against taking it with breakfast. The difference was, in my view, very significant in terms of TSH – which was all that they seemed to care about. Going from 1.06 (away from breakfast) to 2.93

Hypothyroidism and Mortality among Dialysis Patients
If you are unfortunate enough to be struck by kidney disease and be on dialysis this should be of interest. As I read it, it is saying that those on dialysis, are hypothyroid and are not adequately treated with thyroid hormone have a significantly higher mortality. Those adequately treated do not.

Is Pituitary Thyrotropin an Adequate Measure Of Thyroid Hormone-Controlled Homeostasis During Thyroxine Treatment?
Yet another paper questioning what actually happens to TSH - and then T4 and T3 - in people treated with levothyroxine. And says that T4-only does not do quite what our own bodies would if they could. (Pituitary thyrotropin is another way of saying TSH.) Eur J Endocrinol.
