In hospital i got asked WHY feel that a nebuliser helped me when clinical signs (predominantly NO WHEEZE!!!) indicated no neb needed only sign I FELT WAS A BELT GETTING TIGHTER AND TIGHTER ROUND MY CHEST,NO PAIN!! I was told that inhaler

I have COPD, i asked my doctor about, me buying a Nebulizer to help when my breathing is bad. He said they are no good for copd. Has anybody else been told this? Has anybody tried a Nebulizer, and if so does it work? Thank you

The meds make me very shaky and irritable, especially the Albuter old nebulizer solution. Also, does anyone know why I get so hoarse when I can breathe fairly wrll, although short winded. Being in crowds seems to make my asthma worse. Anyone have answers? Thanks, Cateyes....

Well wish me luck that can get through night without need for nebuliser and that my SATs stay ok then can hopefully go home tomorrow. Been in 10 days but 4th admission since march!!!!!!

The staff at the hospital were incredible - they gave me 8 steroid tablets, put me on a nebulizer and told me I was taking an acute asthma attack. It took another 2 nebulizers and 2 hours for me to be able to complete a sentence to speak properly to a doctor.

He now has the nebulizer form of steride and ventolin, but still has inhalers. When he was discharged last Friday there was a note for the gp to check inhalers as the ones he's using has a increased the risk of developing pneumonia.
