I JUST SMOKED MY LAST CIGARETT
I have been taking
Mucodyne
for two weeks and that is really helping to clear the gunk and that is helping the inhalers to work more efficiently. That has lifted my spirits, and my Daughter has gone 4 weeks now without a cigarett so that's an incentive to me.

Help re mucodyne/carbocisteine
I have done something stupid in that I have brought all my hubby's meds to our son for the holiday unfortunately I found I did not count them correctly. I am short on carbocisteine which is not prescribed in Canada, they have something called Mucinex, does antone know if I can use this for the last

Can anyone tell me how long it takes for carbocisteine to work, please?
The nurse from BLF advised my mum to phone the doctors and ask for
mucodyne
(we got carbocisteine instead) Dad has taken 4 tablets so far but is having difficulty catching his breath because of all the mucus in his throat. Any help/advice would be very much appreciated.

Carbocisteine Interactions
I checked in work with my pharmacist today and as I thought there are no known interactions between carbocisteine (
mucodyne
) and a decongestent like pseudoephedrine. So you can take both. Hope that helps.

Question about Mucodyne and Sputum Samples
Hi Gang As I said in my previous thread,I have today started taking
Mucodyne
. Does anyone know how long before I see any results from taking this? Also, and this is awkward, how much sputum is enough to take to the hospital, and can I store it overnight if I don't produce much in 1 day? Alan

Not sure if want....
I'm having a flare up due to a recent sinus/throat infection (The dry air & snow may also have something to do with it ^^;) and the doctor has given me
Mucodyne
(Carbocisteine )500mg and Theodur (Theophylline) 200mg.

Carbocisteine/mucodyne (apologies in advance)
Sorry for the flurry of posting...I am revising and therefore easily distracted ;) Also sorry for being a bit disgusting. Just a bit confused. My GP is trying me on carbocisteine which rather surprised me as I didn't think I had much of a problem with mucus. Except that currently with my cold it feels

Hi everyone My consultant started me on this medication about 3 months ago and told me to take it for a month then see my gp after that, however he did not say how long I should be taking it for or if I should only be using it when I have a chest infection, which I did have when he prescribed it. So

White Gunk / Saliva? (Sorry for utterly vile title to posting)
I seem to be suffering more with the feeling of ""something"" there this year than I ever have done before and have recently been prescribed
Mucodyne
- not to sure about those as present as have only had tabs for a few days and have had v. upset stomach since taking them.
