Update and mulling over things.
Took 100mg of
flecainide
as soon as it started and then normal dose at breakfast 50mg and same just now. Still have a 100mg I can play with. Is this coincidence again or changing back the hormone tablets? Both times it’s been fast AF whereas for last few years it had been slow AF.

Bit of a scare
In addition I took 200mg
Flecainide
(not necessarily recommended for everyone - we are all different) and 3 hours later I returned to NSR.

Beta blocker
If I am taking 100mg of
Flecainide
morning and evening is it necessary for me to take the beta blocker as well. My HR is always quite low and I can have an AF episode with an HR of 78!! I am starting to experience some dizzy spells. Di

Stopping AF with a cold drink
I was pleased with myself that I didn't panic as much as I had done in the early days and I worked down my list of 'how to stop AF' naturally before taking another 50g of
Flecainide
. I should say I have Lone PAF heavily influenced by my Vagus Nerve.

Post cardioversion exhaustion
I had side effects to this and so changed to
flecainide
(50 x two/day) and bisoprolol 1.25. However after 3.5 weeks I still feel exhausted. They took me off
flecainide
which made palpitations start again so I am now on
flecainide
(1x50 day) and 1.25 bisoprolol.

An interesting trigger
Now on
Flecainide
daily at his suggestion and touch wood all good. Had a stress echocardiogram last Thursday (that was “interesting”) and my heart is apparently excellent.

Forthcoming Surgery and Apixipan
I am particularly concerned as my PAT has been worse recently with almost constant peaks to 100-150+ bpm during day time (particularly when I move briskly) whereas at rest my heart rate is 44-46 (presumably due to my 100mg
Flecainide
twice daily).

Strange heartbeat.
Cardiologist put me on
Flecainide
recently and the SVT's and palps stopped for 2 months. All was good until I went to the pharmacy and as soon as I started speaking to the pharmacist my chest exploded with really fast chaotic beats. It was much like a car running on 3 cylinders.

At the moment things are still settled, cryoablation in 2007, and only rarely have to use my PIP
Flecainide
. Has anyone on the forum had this dye injected and if so what were any problems regarding heart functions. Thank you for reading this. Jackie

TRYING TO MANAGE MY HEALTH IS LIKE PLAYING WACK A MOLE
So we tried
Flecainide
, it is known to irritate RLS . I tried it and had a horrible week, now I am trying propanone. I have also been through 3 other drugs for RLS which cause RLS symptoms. Why do Doctors do this?

CV v PiP.......
I’ve often wondered but never thought to ask......apart from the process itself, is there any difference between being reverted back to sinus rhythm by taking a PiP such as
Flecainide
or having a Cardioversion and is one likely to last longer than the other?

Fear of AF Progression
Flecainide
gets me out in about 2 hours sometimes less, sometimes more. My horrible ObamaCare insurance refused to pay for my second ablation with Dr. Natale in Austin. My first was one way Mt. Sinai in NYC.

When to take a PIP
My question, how high should the hr be before popping 2
flecainide
and should I just pop 1 instead of two? How long should I wait before taking a pip? I'm nervous that it's coming back 😢

Weaning off verapamil post 4 months post ablation
Hi, I had been on daily verapamil 180mgSR, low dose digoxin(pg) and
flecainide
50mg bid for the past 2 months as I developed frequent ectopics despite the AF appearing to be reduced by my ablation in May.
