Has anyone else on this form having to have a STRUCTURED MEDICATION REVIEW by a - PHARMASIST. I just found our that is what I am having tomorrow . Not with a GP or practice nurse. It seems silly. just a weel or two ago I had a COPD/ASTHMA review done by a pharmasist. In that review he reviewed

MY COPD REVIEW - Really.
I went for my 30 minute COPD Review with the nurse. Right - She started talking inhalers - I though "Wait for it) and yes, she said I probably would be better on Trimbow rather than three inhalers. I told her I was happy with Ventalin, Ipratropium bromide and Fostair inhalers., She mentioned Trimbow

Asthma Flare up
So I have Severe Asthma that at one point was uncontrolled and for some reason lately I've been having a really bad flare up. ok so I’ll reply to you all on my other post shortly, thank you all for your support!! I was thinking of asking my GP to step down my Seretide from 125/25 to 50/25 because the steroid is definitely doing less for me than the long acting reliever. I was also going to ask to switch back from Atrovent

Add on drugs that are usually prescribed by a consultant part 1 (LAMAs, add-on inhalers, theo)
Hi everyone - it’s been a while! Here is the next (probably long awaited 😅) infomercial! Here are some of the drugs commonly prescribed by a local consultant. That being said, GPs can (and do) prescribe a lot of them, but I’d suggest if you’re on one of them and are not under a hospital consultant (

Post steroud wean or Ipratropium side effects? - nausea, dizziness, fatigue
Hi everyone, me again ☺ So I'm back home after spending 2 weeks in hospital in April for steroid wean. I'm now off the preds. All went relatively OK. I only had 1 full on attack, after which they added in Ipratropium nebs along with my salbutamol nebs four times a day, which seemed to help (I'm already

Why are my SATS at 98 when my chest feels heavy and coughing
Hi all I'm currently in hospital (planned admission for steroid weaning) and my obs are usually 94-95% SATS. I have got tachycardia which they are also looking in to. I'm down to 10mg currently, looking to drop to 5mg tomorrow. I had an attack after my shower on Monday just gone and my SATS were 98%

Our October Holiday.
A plan comes together.
After a positive report at my appointment at the Oncologist Clinic, in the middle of August 2019, I decided to take a further leap of faith and go back to The Broads to sneak in another week. My thoughts are to take my son with us this time, I try to treat my 2 children

Feeling frustrated
I feel let down by my local emergency department. I attended via a 999 ambulance having Salbutamol amd Ipratropium and still wheezy when I got there. I appreciate how awful and busy it is but I felt so tight and told them that (just about, still not complete sentences). Also have brittle asthma. After

Dry, tickly cough and asthma attacks- help
I have had a dry, tickly cough for about 5 days now which has upset my asthma control slightly as I have been more short of breath and wheezy at times. I had been using my inhaler frequently and saw the GP who said it was not an infection but prescribed some steroids. So, last night travelling home

Post attack advice please
Hi all So Tuesday i ended up going to a+e on blues and twos from my GP surgey. This is the first time it's happened. I know I grumbled about the asthma care I've received from my surgery but to be fair to them, they were brilliant. I had been struggling for a few days and using my ventolin A LOT.

asthma ... beta blockers, flecainide
I raised this issue a few years ago and I am repeating it in the hope that something has changed regarding meds.... I am back on flecainide and beta blockers (100mg and 1.25 mg respectively) - low doses. I don't remember exercise being so arduous nor do I remember my asthma being triggered so easily
