Need thoughts, advice from people with COPD. Long post, but bear with me
Prescribed
Dulera
, not much difference. Maybe some. But not much. I have been away since June fron New Mexico, and the dog. I am in Alaska now. Been on a ship, on shore, in different places. But the dyspnea remains. ALL the time. The whistling noise, the heaviness of breath. Wheezing.

Switched my meds again, this time to
Dulera
. Still do not feel any benefits. Does anyone else here use
Dulera
? And if so, do you suffer side effects?

Back from vacation
So I guess I'll have to wait and see if the
Dulera
does anything for me.

I was told by my physical therapist that
Dulera
would be a good inhaler for me. I requested it from the doctor and he gave me a prescription. I read the PDR and decided I do not want to take it due to side effects of osteoporosis, heart trouble, and many other possible side effects such as thrush.

Steroid inhalers and weight gain
My Rehabiitation Therapist suggested I try
Dulera
, an inhaler I guess that has a little bit of steroid in it. I read that steroids can cause weight gain so I am not sure I want to try it. I have put on 60 pounds weight from menopause (old age) and stopping cigarettes .

My allergist and a llung specialist my GP sent me to see at Columbia (NY Pres) in NY, NY agree that I should stay on
Dulera
and Flovent 2 puffs each twice a day (which I usually do while sick but for some reason my local pulm. doesn't want me too).

Severe attack-anyone taking Zileuton Extended Release?
Right now I'm on
Dulera
2 puffs twice a day, flovent 220, 2 puffs twice a day, levabuterol and ipatropium nebs 6x a day, motelukast sodium, and an antihistamine. Turns out they came up with a new drug i've never heard of.
