AF and muscle pain.
Hi all I was diagnosed with AF at the start of May and am due to have a
cardioversion
on the 4th July. Have been put on the following medication but my heartbeat is still averaging 100 to 120. These readings are coming from the Kardia I purchased.

post ablation
According to my EP it is successful and he will bring me into the hospital in 6 weeks time and do a TOE to make sure that my clot has not returned and another
cardioversion
. I am so glad to have met this man as others had written me off and my GP did not want to know.

My mom has been dealing with atrial flutter for the past year looking for some advice.
Anyway they did a
cardioversion
a few weeks later that only lasted about a week and a half. They performed another
cardioversion
2 months ago the doctor said he was very happy with the outcome and was happy that the heart would stay in rhythm. So far so good!

Coming off Amiodarone
I had a
cardioversion
last Sept which was successful and I have, it seems, remained in rhythm since then.. I am due to see my cardiologist again in six months. Over the last week I have felt fluttery in my chest (that's the best way I can describe it) on several occasions.

Whilst in AF after cardioversion....
I had a
cardioversion
last year and since have occasional AF lasting between 1 to 5 hours only. I have always had low bpm around 50. I take Edoxaban daily. When in these short bouts of AF I need to urinate very often.

New to this AF nightmare!
I would be most grateful for any advice about coping with a new diagnosis of AF, post
cardioversion
recovery and drug side effects to look out for, though I fully appreciate everyone is different. Many thanks again to all.

Upper Arm Weakness and PAIN
Between ablations, I also had a
cardioversion
- on an outpatient basis but it had to be a massive one because within four hours I had a bad migraine that lasted four days and that was only one
cardioversion
. I hate cardioversions but must be the only treatment in the arsenal for ablations.

After cardioversion
Hi everyone I wondered if anyone who has had
cardioversion
has felt worse when it's worked.

Weight Loss and AFib
In the light of the following article I am considering seeking to delay any
cardioversion
until I have lost two stone. (I am 6 ft 5 and 17 + stone) I should welcome any comments on either the article or my proposed care plan.

Atrial flutter and fatigue
I've been in hospital twice and am now waiting for a
cardioversion
, followed by another catheter ablation. Since coming home, I've been extremely tired, especially in the afternoons and invariably fall asleep for quite some time each day. Is this to be expected?

Bisoprolol Dose (Why so High?)
I didn’t like it, but I agreed because he is an expert, and I had this (crazy) idea that a high dose may help my
cardioversion
. Puzzle: my heart rate stayed the same (110) whether I took 2.5g or 15g of bisoprolol. Experience 2
Cardioversion
works, and restores normal sinus rhythm.

Complaint to my hospital
I have just made a complaint to my hosptal that they have put me on the AFib pathway and are trying to push me into a
cardioversion
as quickly as possible (to hit their performance targets) and giving me virtually no information about where the pathway leads.

Blood clot in heart - anyone else ?
I went on warfarin and in May had a TOE which revealed the clot had gone then a
cardioversion
which only lasted 3 days. I ended up having 6 months off work due to the clot the warfarin and the schedule of the hospital. I am slowly going back to work now and want to put this behind me.

Back in afib
Planning going forward is to have a
cardioversion
mid-June and my second ablation in late August. He feels someone as young as 45 should definitely attempt another ablation and we will see how it goes from there. He is hoping a small gap has opened up in the scarring, which seems quite common.

Cost of private prescriptions
Waiting for a
cardioversion
in July and my consultant does not want to change my drugs again before the procedure. I was only diagnosed at the start of May and am finding all the information very confusing. Any advice would be great. Thanks
