Vagal Afib
So I was diagnosed with Vagal Afib after several ED visits and having 4 cardioversions. My EP put me on Tikosyn which seemed to shorten the episodes. I am still in the paroxysmal Afib level. I do not drink alcohol or caffeine. Cut out sugar, eating late and stress. My doctor also told me he is suspecting

Not great news today
The end of October I had a
cardioversion
that failed in less than a month. I met with my cardiologist two weeks ago and he confirmed what I thought that it failed. Actually I have atypical flutter it’s not my a fib as such.

Emergency Room Visit: Besremi and Afib?
They gave me flecainide and just as the doctor was about to look at doing a
cardioversion
, I went back into a normal sinus rhythm.

Can persistent af be "cured" with one cardioversion??
Seen cardiologist last week, I'm for
cardioversion
in next few weeks and he has said he will see me again early next year and suggests he will take me off meds and that's me done. I have been looking at other posts online and it suggests AFib cannot be cured but managed.

something is working 😊
My
cardioversion
did not work Tuesday And all I have are sore ribs etc. from the three shocks. However, I will take sunshine when I can get it. I was put on the Digoxen Tuesday afternoon at the hospital. My heart rate has dropped since then and just now it was 70.

Last May I had an episode of atrial fibrillation and I had to do a
cardioversion
. After that, my heart rhytm has come back to normal and my heart rate has been in the normal range since.

Never ending atrial flutter/afib
My husband is back in afib/flutter and he is now being loaded with amiodarone for yet another
cardioversion
. He is permanently breathless and always exhausted. He will have the procedure again in January we hope, depending on the waiting list.

GOING FORWARD
The follow up is for my failed
cardioversion
. They tried three times to Shockett with no NSR. Yesterday was to be about what’s next. My body responds to things usually but does not stay for very long.

”Aggressive” AF
I've had a
cardioversion
, 2 ablations in the upper chamber and 1 ablation in a lower chamber. The last ablation was in June then in July, I had a cardiac arrest in Crete (apparently unrelated to AF). I now have an ICD fitted but AF is debilitating me.

Afib in young people (less than 40 years old)
At the same time we decided to try a
cardioversion
and see if it reverts, as I have no idea when this started and if it is already permanent. At the same time I got this diagnosis I had just started my new job.

I am back again sorry if I wrote this last night.
almost a month ago I had a
cardioversion
and it was amazing. I have been dealing with a heart rate in the 150s since the end of April. When I woke up from the CV it was 82. I actually had a smile as I awoke.

Amiodarone and Asthma
I've been on Amiodarone for about 6 weeks preparing for a
cardioversion
which is happening on Wednesday. Over the past 2 weeks I've noticed my asthma getting progressively worse and when I read the patient safety leaflet is says that this can be common.

Grateful for any Feedback on PVI Ablation Please
Had a
cardioversion
in February 2022, which lasted about 7 weeks and then back into persistent AF, looking back I carried on as normal after the
cardioversion
and perhaps I should have been more careful. My NHS EP/cardiologist has suggested a pulmonary vein isolation ablation using freezing.

we question about normal Sinus rythm
HI just had my
Cardioversion
on thursday and after 4 attempts they managed to get me into normal Sinus rhythm. So my resting bpm is now at 52 to 55. But it has gone up to 75 whilst sitting. Does this mean I'm back in AF ?

Sore throat after ablation
The procedure took about three hours under GA and a
cardioversion
put me straight back into sinus rhythm. Since then, both my heart rate and blood pressure have been perfect and the wound in my groin is healing well. Long may they remain so! My concern is that my throat is still incredibly sore.
