SoB 1 month out from EP Ablation
Then they sent me to Heart Dr {from 2020} who sent me to a Heart Rhythm Dr who ordered a
CardioVersion
{CV}. The CV helped for 3 days, but then I went back into AF... My Heart Dr wanted to do another CV, but talking to my HR Dr we decided to do the EP Ablation.

Cardioversion
I happened to come across a programme on Freeview last night about an A&E department, not something I'd normally watch but I heard them say "
Cardioversion
". They showed a man actually having the procedure; explained why his AF needed to be corrected, the risks and benefits of the procedure.

Digoxin Advice
I am on a few different drugs including bisoprolil/perindipril & Apixaban for dilated cardiomyopathy and then I got AF, a
cardioversion
didnt work and the cardiologist said I was heading for a pacemaker but he wanted to try Digoxin which has worked great for years.

Variations in persistent Afib
I go for a
cardioversion
on Tuesday and wonder if and when symptoms return (though fingers crossed they won't!) if they'll return in paroxysmal form? Thank you for reading, and no I'm not nervous at all ha ha!

Atrial Flutter?
It worked fine, I’ve been back into a normal rhythm for the past six months, and they sedate you for the
cardioversion
so there’s nothing to it! Contact your EP.

Help needed with AF medication homework please!
This is following the
cardioversion
that gave me NSR for a week before returning to persistent Afib with resting heart rate in the 90s. I am currently on Adoxaban, and propranolol at night.

Travel insurance
I have been told by Staysure that as I’m waiting for a
cardioversion
I wouldn’t be covered for this condition until it had been done & I was told I’m good to go.

Ablation to back wall of the heart
He would not give me ANY percent of possible success other than the fact I converted to NSR when they ablated the area and did not require
cardioversion
. They also went ahead and ablated a common area for atrial flutter although that was not the problem.

A Good Day's Night
No offers by my doctor of a
cardioversion
or an ablation. I have been fairly stable on those meds since it was confirmed that I had Permanent Afib. I do get light-headed if I stand and walk after sitting for a while.

Just out of interest, what’s the longest anyone has stayed in normal sinus rhythm following a
cardioversion
….?

So what does bisoprolol do?
Had a second
cardioversion
and have been back in NSR since. The only difference is my pulse rate is slower, about 49bpm, on a dose of 3.75mg. That's technically considered bradycardia which leaves me wondering why I need a drug that reduces my heart rate to that level?

Do you have persistent or long-standing AF?
You may also be taking medications, have previously experienced an intervention such as a catheter ablation,
cardioversion
or a pacemaker.

Cardioversions used for rate control while waiting for Ablation?
However I have been told by EP Team, that because of my low heart rate (and therefore inability to tolerate any antiarrythmia drug except dronadarone 1/4 dose (100mg) BID) and tendency to faint or pre-faint, I should go to Emerg for
cardioversion
after an hour or two in AF.

living emotionally and mentally with afib
Lately they have been increasing in frequency so I am having a
cardioversion
on 4/25. So I am continuing to live in fear waiting for an attack and when they happen am pretty much emotionally paralyzed. I have tried cbh and am on amiodorone 200mg/d and metoprolol ex100mg.
