All this is so new to me
I've had very mild asthma for several years, only when I've had a cold. Generally salbutamol and a couple days beclomethasone sorts me out and it's months before I need to use either of them again. On Friday I had what I think was a massive full on asthma attack, brought on I think by a chest infection

Beclometasone
I wanted to ask if anybody has ever had or currently has trouble with side effects whilst using a brown
Beclometasone
inhaler? In short, I have been suffering for asthma badly for 6 months. I used to have very mild asthma as a child but have been prescribed a brown (
Beclometasone
) inhaler.

Allergic asthma and symbicort
Always been on different antihistamines and nasal sprays, recent inhalers like ventolin, serevent and
beclometasone
and also singulair. Had everything tested today including spirometry test and blood test to check the IgE levels.

Not sure whether Dr is right and what about competitive cycling?
I've just joined this site and wish I'd found it years ago! I was diagnosed about 7 years ago but it seems likely I've had asthma for a lot longer. I hadn't really accepted the diagnosis until reading many of the posts here as one of the big things is I only wheeze when I've got a bad cold or respiratory

Am I being impatient?
I'm on 30mg of Prednisolone, amoxicillin, 400mg of
beclometasone
(twice a day), 100mg of salmeterol (twice a day) and I still feel like I'm constantly tight-chested. None of these medicines seem to keep my attacks at bay for very long and I'm still using my reliever as often as I can.

Side effects, Salbutomol and Beclometasone?
My GP started me on Salbutomol 100mg 2 puffs, four times daily for the first week to bring things under control, and then added
Beclometasone
200mg, 2 puffs morning and evening, and changed the Salbutomol to 'as needed'.

Expiration dates
Back on the 19th April I was given 2 dry powder
beclometasone
inhalers. I started using the 1st with serevent but it wasn't helping so went on to symbicort. Things seem to settle a bit so decided to try the
beclometasone
and serevent again (dr told me to do that).

Can't get used to new preventer after being switched off Becloforte
I had my six monthly checkup with my asthma nurse three weeks ago. I was stunned to hear that Becloforte (and Becotide) are being discontinued although I know this is old news here! My asthma is usually pretty well controlled with quite high doses of Beclomethasone, and I have had no problems in the

Sleep disturbances
Since taking
Beclometasone
dipropionate 200 at the rate of 2 puffs twice a day, I've been waking up at 4 am. Unusual for me as pre inhaler I'd usually sleep right through to 8 am. I'm taking my inhaler at 9 am and 9 pm. Any thoughts?

Alternatives to preventer inhalers?
Has anyone experienced extreme side effects when using preventer inhalers? I have tried Beclomethasone (2 puffs daily) three times now and every time I use it, my breathing improves but after the second to third day I get crippling back pain/pressure. I really don't know how to move forward in getting

New to asthma and full of questions
I have a brown inhaler of
beclometasone
and a blue inhaler of salbutamol. I'm still a bit shocked that I've got asthma (though I had it for one summer when I was a teenager) but my real problem is my appetite. Since i've been ill i just can't finish a meal.

Seretide/Fostair
I understand that basically it contans
beclometasone
(instead of fulticasone) and formeterol (instead of salmeterol), and the letter also says that because the drugs are dissolved rather than suspended in the propellant there is better delivery to the lungs.

Advice needed please about options & where next, on step 4 management?
Had been on various doses up to max
Beclometasone
before I couldn't stand the non CFC taste of Clenil. Very glad I've got a prepayment cert. but why do some often less severe conditions mean free prescriptions for life? At least we have the NHS though.

CLENIL MODULITE
Hello Darlings! Has anyone else recently been taken off the Beclomethasone inhaler and been prescribed Clenil Modulite instead? I only ask because every time I go to the pharmacy they never have it in stock and have to order it in and I have to wait for flippin' days to get it. It's really tedious picking
