Am relieved that DaT confirmed PD so I wrote a little blog
I am now taking
Azilect
and my tremor is better, also I haven't fallen once. While am not happy to have PD, I am happy to have an answer. So I wrote this to share. Life isn’t always easy is it?

Azilect and Wellbutrin
Anyone taking
Azilect
with Wellbutrin XL? I think my husband is in need of an antidepressant and I have read that Wellbutrin is one of the ones that may increase dopamine. What other ones are you taking and how are they working for you? Thank you. This community is a blessing and so are all of you.

Hello from a new boy
I put that down to seeing a marvellous Neuorlogist in Cambridge (not my home town) who recommended
Azilect
as an adddition to my Sinemet Plus and Amantadine and to change my Ropinirole to Requip XL.

I worry about the effects of Requip.
I ve been on Requip for about 9 monthe, and just added Azilest, but even before the
Azilect
, I would get vert tired about an hour after I took my pill, 3 mg 3 times a day. My normal bp is about 125/65.

Azilect (Rasagiline)
Selegiline and rasagiline (brand name
Azilect
), are generally given in the early stages of PD in order to slow the progression of symptoms of PD.

I've had a horrendous weekend and I was pinning my hopes, long term, on taking citolapram but this morning the PD nurse rang to say they'd changed thier mind and I can't take it as I take
Azilect

Getting worse!!!
I take Requip XL 4 times a day plus
Azilect
and I am not showing any steady reaction. I know PD is a progressive disease but Good Lord, I am getting worse everyday. I called my Dr. and he referred me to a Dr. @ the OU Medical center but like all good things I can't get in till Aug.

The doctor put him on
Azilect
. He hasn't really noticed a change in his tremors. Now whenever he carries anything he gets terrible back spasms. He has also noticed a weakness in his hand, neither of these things were there before starting

Zelapar--is any one taking it? Comparison between Zelapar and Azilect?
Dr. thought that was nuts but because of my concerns took me off and put me on
Azilect
. I'm not sure if
Azilect
was the cause but I was dizzy all the time. I felt bad ALL the TIME. I'm wondering if I need to be on something like one of those. Do they really benefit you?

Self managing PD - Are we serious or not?
The approach was DA plus Selegeline /
Azilect
then Sinemet/Madopar I respect that each Neuro has to make his own assessment and that certain drugs don’t suit all people.

a new medication changed my daily life
During a visit with my PD doctor I got a new medicine,
Azilect
. This medication has helped me so well that I feel a big positive improvement and the cognitive functions are much better. I'm glad I join this study but wonder why I did not receive this medication early. Regards Mr Day Sweden

Do you take Azilect?
I am really interested in hearing people's experiences, both good and bad with
Azilect
. I assume this is a fairly new drug and, of course, may not be suitable for me. But at least I will know. Thanks.

When did you start with physical therapy?
He has tremors on his left side and is on Requip,
Azilect
and a anti-tremor med (don't remember name). We exercise regularly but am just wondering if we should be working with someone now to help prevent progression? Any suggestions and/or info is appreciated
