And can it be used as well as
Atrovent
? I use that as a reliever atm and it seems to work well for me but can you have both? Cons doesn't approve of Ventolin so if I can't have Atro as well as Spiriva not sure what I'd do (Bricanyl maybe?) -Anything else I could ask about?

Brittle asthma, Anaphylaxis and the royal Brompton
My current meds are; symbicort 400,
atrovent
inhaler, tiotropium, loratadine, montelukast, nasonex, and ventolin nebules 5mg 4x a day, plus more when I'm bad. On top of that I've now got epi pens too. When is this going to get better? I know it won't but it's just ruining my life.

When to take nebs
I was in danger of being admitted every time this happens (already spent 8 nights in Glenfield) so the GP gave me ventolin and
atrovent
nebs to use at home. She said this was mostly for emergencies.

I need help to stop smoking....can someone help? Thanks for your support :)
Since two years ago I got differed inhalers like
Atrovent
and Clenil . I don't use them anymore, and has put on Seretide 250,Spiriva 18 mircrogram, Salmotol I still use. So I have start to do research on COPD and I am quite scared.

What now?
Unfortunately I've hit a bit of a brick wall with my asthma :( I'm on Seretide, Ventolin, Uniphyllin, Certrizine, montelukast, pred (ment to be 10mg but can't get below 25mg these days) I've tried
atrovent
, tiotropium, symbicort, oral salbutamol (put me in a funny heart rhythm :/ ) and Xolair to no avail

Two steps forward and one back
I was feeling optimistic about last weeks appointment as I feel that
Atrovent
has helped and I am not using my Bricanyl as much. My spirometry was normal and I was discharged.

Soph's POSITIVE cons apt :-)
Atrovent
(as a regular med), 2. Uniphylline (made a big difference in the past) and 3. to discusss the possibility of home nebs. The cons made it clear from the offset that *really* he had no intention of doing anything at the present moment.

Muscle weakness
I have attributed this to my meds as both
Atrovent
and Symbicort nominate such side effects as affecting some 10% of users. Also I do have pain in my thumbs, which I think other resported as being a side effect of Spiriva (strange aye!) Any feedback would be appreciated.

A Strategy for Dealing With Stress
Take your rescue drugs (for me Ventolin and
Atrovent
). Start pursed lips breathing (most 'old hands' will do this automatically). Concentrate on blowing out more air than you breathe in. If you have a pulse/oximeter, use it.

By the way!
I also take
Atrovent
and Symbicort at bedtime. I have found it very important to wait for 15 min after taking
Atrovent
before taking Symbicort and then another 15 mins before embarking on any activity (not to be confused with exercise). Stay well. Martin

I did have lung function tests last week and was given
Atrovent

Atrovent
?

LABA and LAAs Update to research
Researchers published evidence on the widely prescribed anticholinergics ipratropium bromide and tiotropium bromide (marketed as
Atrovent
and Spiriva), and found they were associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular death, heart attack and stroke among COPD patients.

To nebulise or not to nebulise, that is the question?
For my part as a Stage 4 Copder, I have found that nebulising
Atrovent
or Ventolin provides very little, if any, relief. What has been the experience of others?
