Getting bigger with all control lost...

Soooo...

Part of tackling the problem is admitting the problem. I am a binge eater. I eat when I'm happy, when I'm sad, when I'm bored, even when I'm busy. I just can't stop.

I have never been small, always the 16 mark. In the last year I have gone from 16 to 18 & now I'm bursting the 20.

A few years ago I took a diet pill (£70 for 28 days) which took away my urge as I always felt full to bursting. It gave me headaches, nosebleeds, dry mouth, but I stopped eating. I can't take these any more as when I had a break I piled 17lb back on in 3 weeks.

Does anyone else feel aware of the problem but just can't stop bingeing?

Hi BunnyMummy.

I do really know what you're going through. I've never been small either. I've gained alot of weight these last couple months. I'm in the 2x and have about 130 lbs to lose. I've binged ever since I was 3 or 4 yrs old. No diet pill has ever worked (except Topirimate, which only lasted a few months).

I would be very tempted to try the pill you talked about. Very tempted! But it does sound like it's got a bad side.

Your post says it was written 5 months ago (I did not join the eating disorder community but a while ago). If you still are a part of this group, I'd love to hear from you. So many people don't take binge eating seriously, I'd love to talk to someone who does.

Thankyou and be well!
