Anyone got REALLY low platelets ie 6 after taking immuno suppressants ?I am on Revelade to try and increase them.

Hello Bruffington2. I've been told I'm very anaemic and 2 days ago I spent the afternoon in hospital having an infusion of iron. They will be repeating it again next week. Thereafter they said I may have to have an infusion every six months or so. I'm unsure if low platelets means the same as anaemia. Just in case it does - this was the treatment they prescribed. I also had it done a couple of years ago. It does help me to gain a bit of energy. I'm nearly 81 and running out of steam so I thankful for the energy boost. Having said all that I'm not sure if this is what you wanted to know. I hope your problems are soon resolved. Best wishes to you.
