Have you tried heated socks or foot warmers?

Hi their, not to sure what you are after my name is david and live in Hampshire. I also suffer with Purple, and deep dark blue foot, and thewounds fail to heal, and so much treatment and last year I lost my left leg, with all the same problems now my right foot has turn the same way, but nothing is helping it, tablets/creams nothing the district nurse turns up and she can give no help but for a bandage. I think from reading eeveryone else on here we all share the same thing, and Gp's/Consultants at hospital care very little about us now.

Sorry to be no help. David.

Sorry for Moppett. The right treatment is very important. Find the right GP who knows about your condition. Geet referred to a rheumatologist. Warmers of all sorts exists but you also need the right treatment. Fight for your self and don't let people let you down. Thermal socks on their own is not enough. The Raynaud's and Scleroderma Association is very helpful and have many products to keep you warm. Get on their website. Fight and don't give in.

I know your first thought is " if my feet are cold, put more socks on". this was my mistake that my wounderfull Rhematolist had to correct. he told me " you are going to have to re-teach yourself how to dress from top to bottom", i thought he was nuts! SO TRUE!! you have to keep your entire body warm in order to keep your feet warm. he told me if you are going to stay in Indiana, this is a must. it took me 2 winters to get it right. I only wear wigwam hiking socks sold at Dicks, they are not cheap, but they are the best wool socks. your hat is you best friend, wind is not. buy a coat with a wind breaker outer shell. gloves, scarf and a good pair of sub zero snow boots( Target) and long johns are all part of the show. you will also need a light weight fleece jacket and one a little heavier. ( so you can layer yourself) i look at the forcast everyday here in Indianapolis so i can prepare for the next days outfit. yes, it is a pain in the ass, but you will learn. I dont even go out if it is 25 deg or under, unless it is important. and if i do, i wear it all!!!!! good luck....
