Hi, I have noticed quite a large area of skin on my torso , below breast, over the top of the left ribs, has changed colour and texture. It is a funny grey/purple shade which is ‘shiny’,pitted & blotchy on parts .There is no pain in that area but it does seem to be a little swollen and I’m unsure if there maybe a hardness to it too, or whether my mind is playing tricks & thinking the worst. When pressed it takes longer than the rest of the skin to get back to it’s original colour. I had noticed it slightly, it was smaller then and less noticeable, a couple of months ago but just thought it was where my bra had left a mark. And not being the slimmest of ladies I don’t usually see below my bust area very well unless looking at my reflection :)

As it’s a lot larger now and not actually in the fold of skin between the breast and tummy, but a little lower, I am getting myself into a pickle worrying about it.

Some advice on what it may be or if anyone has had anything similar show up before would help to put my mind at ease . And I really don’t want to be going to the GP for them to tell me it’s absolutely nothing. Tia .

We would always recommend going to get it checked out by your GP. If in doubt, get it checked out!

I hear your concern regarding seeing a GP. So schedule an appointment with a Dermatologist. They are focused on skin issues and since you have had this issue for a month or more, I would recommend sooner versus later :)
