If you are a hairdresser (or work in any area of health and beauty) then the chit-chat you have with your clients could save lives.

1 in 4 men and 1 in 5 women in the UK will develop skin cancer. The good news is that, if spotted early enough, almost all cases are curable. As a hairdresser, you are regularly in close contact with your clients’ skin, in places they may not be able to see for themselves, so you are uniquely placed to help with the early detection of potentially abnormal lesions.

SKCIN’s simple online training programme, MASCED (Melanoma and Skin Cancer Early Detection), has been reviewed by professional dermatologists and is supported, officially recognised, accredited and endorsed by key industry bodies.

When you take part, you are not expected or required to ‘diagnose’ skin cancer – this is a job for a trained professional. However, by increasing your knowledge you could spot something suspicious and recommend to your client that they seek professional advice to get it checked out.

Train your eyes to save lives by joining SKCIN’s growing army of 10,000 + MASCED Accredited professionals at: MASCED.UK
