🧡 Whether passed or present, today we take time to celebrate our awesome mums who put everyone and everything before themselves...

I’ll be honest... I never TRULY appreciated my mum, until I became a mother myself... now my son is 20 and my daughter 12 (going on 21) I really couldn’t appreciate more what my mother did and what she went through for ALL her three children.

When my mum passed from melanoma on New Year’s Eve 2005, I thought my world had ended. But, over time I began to realise that her passing made way for a hugely important job - one that needed serious attention, focus and an immense amount of passion, dedication and tenacity.

Myself and my father Richard Clifford Co-founded the charity Skcin to make a difference, drive change and save lives and suffering - in the hope we could prevent the devastation caused by my mums loss for others, and to create a fitting legacy for such an incredible woman who selflessly gave her EVERYTHING to us all.

My mum left me with many things, but this important role I find myself in and have dedicated the last 17 years to, I now know is her gift - to not only me, but to the many lives we have saved in her name.

Her devotion, her passion, her selflessness and her bravery is what drives me every day and continues to inspire me and all the work myself AND my AWESOME colleagues do every day under the banner of ‘Skcin’.

🧡 HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO EVERY SINGLE AMAZING MOTHER OUT THERE NAVIGATING THIS CRAZY WORLD AND EVERYTHING IT CHUCKS AT US! 💪
