☀‼ With the UV index reaching ‘very high’ in parts of the country this Jubilee bank holiday with millions of us outdoors celebrating - make sure you don’t get caught out and stay SUN SAFE!

☀ Cover up with clothing (our first line of defence against UV) including a wide brimmed hat and sunglasses

☀ Apply SPF 30+ sunscreen with 4 or 5 star UV protection liberally and evenly - and reapply AT LEAST every 2 hours

☀ Seek shade whenever possible - particularly during peak UV hours (11am - 3pm)

👍 Take charge of your skin health by installing the Skcin app on your mobile home screen. In addition to a wealth of educational and self-management tools to help you reduce your risk of cancer and detect the early warning signs - the app’s UV Index is an incredibly useful tool providing users with:

☀ The current and daily peak UV index

☀ A two day hourly UV forecast

☀ For any location across the globe

☀ Store multiple locations if on the move

☀ Set alerts to know when the UV Index reaches 3 (when sun protection measures should be adopted)

☀ Set alerts to know when the UV Index reaches it’s daily peak (when extra care and/or measures should be taken to avoid sun damage)

☀ Set 2 hourly sunscreen reminders to ensure you don’t forget to reapply!

📲 To install the app in a couple of clicks:

Go to: app.skcin.org in your Safari or Chrome web browser

Tap ‘INSTALL’ then ‘Add to Home Screen’
