Hi!

Swimmer, retired classroom teacher, grandma, mother, wife, friend

Would like connect with other uterine cancer patients with Er & Pr & HER2 neg and/or on Ibrance & an aromatase inhibitor.

2015: stage 1B, grade 3 uterine cancer ER & PR & HER2 negative, radical hysterectomy & brachytherapy at the cuff

Recurrences: 1 ½ yrs after initial, (identified via PET/CT) 2 pelvic lymph nodes, pelvic radiation and chemo (stopped early due to low blood counts)

Put on aromatase inhibitor

6 mos after chemo (identified via PET/CT) 2nd tumor in left rectus abdomenus caused by contamination from laroscopic hysterectomy - brachytherapy therapy ( very traumatic this time) rods thru stomach muscles

Added Ibrance to aromatase inhibitor- been on this combo for 4 yrs., dose of Ibrance reduced a year ago due low blood counts.

Thanks

Merma, you are indeed a true warrior! I also had a recurrence of uterine cancer after my initial diagnosis and had a hysterectomy but cancer was ER positive. You mentioned wanting to connect with other women diagnosed with uterine cancer , I don't know if you are interested in a support group but I facilitate several uterine cancer support groups at SHARE. Support groups are a good way to connect with other women who share your experience and understand what it's like to go through this diagnosis. If you think you might be interested in joining a support group please visit sharecancersupport.org/uter... for information on how to join.
