ZEJULA HAIR LOSS
Hi, my hair loss came from chemotherapy. I am on Zejula also and my hair is growing back again, but very slowly. At least some hair makes me feel warmer in these cold winter temperatures. Just be patient and you might see your hair come back, but it won’t grow fast like normally. Hang in there, Donna
I have also started Zejula, I hope not to loose hair. Although hair thinning happened inspite of scalp cooling during chemo.
Zejula didn’t cause any hair loss with me. The taxol during chemo really did a number on my hair, eyebrows, eyelashes and body hair. My hair is coming back, but my eyebrows and eyelashes are very sparse. I am 74 and my age could also be a slight factor with the sparseness. Hope things go good for you, your teal sister; Donna xx
Hi. I just finished chem and now my doctor wants me to start Zejula but when I read side effects they scare me to death. Can you share some of your experiences with the medication. I am really confused and tire of being so sick . Just having my first four days where I could function a bit
I felt the same. I started on 100 MG and it didn't cause any side effects. For me the 100MG a day has worked. So perhaps suggest taking a low dose. Many woman are on lower doses and it works great and side effects are few if any.
My effects have been minor though apparent. I have constipation problems, fatigue, and headaches. My platelets have gone gone down so we are trying different doses.
I finished chemo in 9/19 and was put on Lynparza which is also a parb inhibitor. My hair grew back but a lot slower and thinner than other people who have gone through chemo. The other side affects are mild fatigue and muscle/joint pain. Lately it feels like my chemo brain is returning worse than ever. I did have nausea and the beginning and my doctor lowered the dose which helped a lot. I still occasionally feel a little nausea but Zofron takes care of it. The results of taking the meds far outweighs the side affects. Hope this helps.
