Mama, I am HGSE 3C, so highly likely to recur. I never had the port removed, which is a good thing. I have recurred twice in 4 years.
I still have my port. I’m going to keep it in case I have to start infusions again. I’m on Zejula now. When I had my debulking surgery, my CA 125 went up for a short time. My dr. said that would happen. Maybe just having surgery can cause it to increase. Mine dropped from 187 to 153 after a while. I’m taking Zejula and my CA 125 is 14.8. I don’t carry that braca gene , so my dr. said that Zejula wouldn’t be as effective. My Dr. wanted me to go on it. Maybe it might hold some cancer cells back. I was NED in May, 2020. I’ll just have to see what happens. By the way, I don’t like my port. My skin is thin and it looks like it could pop out. I asked my dr about that and she said that it does happen sometimes. I have enough insomnia, don’t want to worry about that. I just take one day at a time.
