Has this cleared up for you? This sounds like you need a doctor's input or the chemo clinic's input. Meanwhile, don't get dehydrated, try and sip water/liquid. Take care. XXOO

I still have it a bit today but feel generally better than the previous 4 days . I’m just about able to eat an egg . I had the same last infusion but it only lasted 24 hrs I’m guessing with the 2nd infusion it has built up in my system . I can tell you I’m not looking forward to number 3 ☹️

Good that you're feeling a little better. I went through the carbo/taxol treatment in 2016 and it was tough, but keep in mind it gets better when you're done. You will feel better. Truly. Sometimes when we feel so poorly, we think that this is how it's always going to be, and that's not the case.

Enjoy that egg!

EDIT: I took a look at your profile and see that this is your second treatment. So ignore my advice. You've got this.

Yes 2nd line , not something I wanted and was told last time that I didn’t need taxol / carbo because of my grading . 14 months later I’m back with multiple spots in my pelvis and abdomen Acites and stranding around my liver . Taxol / carb as 2 line treatment ☹️

Oh, that's a rough situation.

One message that we should get when we start down the path of ovarian cancer is to expect the unexpected. I was diagnosed in early 2016 with low grade serous cancer, a cancer that typically is slow moving.

In early 2018 I was diagnosed with tumours and cells in my liver which are clear cell ovarian cancer, an aggressive cancer.

My second line treatment -- actually maybe my third because the second line of carbo/gem was halted because I had blood clots in my legs and lungs -- anyway, I'm currently on Caelyx and the first injection has been relatively smooth in terms of side effects.

Carbo/taxol, if your body can handle it, is a good combo.

Feel better soon.

Crikey you have been through the mill .

It’s a battle that’s for sure.

I’m amazed of the courage of the women on this site because some days I don’t feel tough.

I enjoyed my egg it’s was delicious 😋

Take care of yourself and good luck for the rest of your treatment

Hi Sarah,

Ironically I don't feel like I've been through the mill. I read about some women's reactions to their cancers and to their treatments and I think I've gotten off luckily. And remember, it's difficult to be tough when you're on the toilet so much. Our bodies take such a beating. When we're feeling weak, everything seems bleak.

We've got so much cancer in my family (but no genetic link that has been found to this point) and my sister says that even when we're unlucky we're lucky. I have a maternal aunt that has had three different cancers and she's going to be 86 soon. My mother had breast cancer 10 years ago and she's 87. And my sister had breast cancer about 12 years ago. She opted for a double mastectomy and just this week she had a hysterectomy because the chances of her getting ovarian cancer is high. There's lung and bladder cancer too.

But I do really believe that we live in a miracle age. If we can be treated, it'll happen.

Anyway, time for my nap or I'll be cranky later this afternoon.

Maybe a little soup will do you good. Just the other day I opened a can of chicken noodle soup (gasp) and LOVED it.

I had this problem almost the entire time I was on carbo/taxotere. My once prescribed a powder(cholestryamine) that I mixed with water and drank. It stopped the constant diarrhea and helped. Talk to your team, they can help and they may also test you to make sure you haven’t picked up c. diff, a bacteria that gives you diarrhea.

I think the chemo killed every cell in my digestive tract from the tip of my tongue to my bum.
