What kind of side effects have you had?
I just went through oral surgery I believe from the Xgeva.
You want to prevent hand and foot syndrome which can feel like a bad sunburn on your feet and hands. Use a good moisturizer on both hands and feet, morning and night. Avoid friction - like tight sneakers or shoes. Do not walk barefoot on hot floors, cement, sand. Do not expose hands to super hot water like when washing dishes.
To avoid GI issues make sure meds are taken within 30 minutes of eating. I used to eat yogurt in the morning which coated my stomach so I did not experience GI problems with Xeloda which can be a side effect.
Drink a ton of water. Spruce it up with sliced fruit or lemon to make it taste nice so you drink more.
Move if you can. Even a little walk will help combat fatigue which comes with most treatments. Hope this helps.
Agree with Have-faith on her recommendations. I have some hand problems. My fingers get dry and the skin splits, especially my thumbs. When they start splitting I treat them with super glue and that usually takes care of the problem in a couple of days. Just make sure you let it dry before you touch anything!
Zofran and Pepcid. I take a them as soon as I get up in the morning. I found that once I got the acid reflux under control that the nausea was much better and I was able to cut back on the zofran a bit. Small meals or snacks more often. Protein drinks for when I just don't feel like eating so I can keep my calories and nutrition up.
Udderly Smooth seemed to help with the hand/foot syndrome. I also eliminated acidic foods from my diet. No ketchup, BBQ, cow's milk, citrus, etc. I replaced the cow's milk with almond milk. I wasn't willing to give up coffee, so I added almond milk to it. That helped it go down easier. With the diarrhea, take an Imodium right afterwards, every time. Also had to go to a low-fiber diet. I didn't have any success with anti-nausea pills. Allergic reaction to one, the other two prescribed didn't work for me at all. In the hospital, they gave me an anti-nausea patch, which worked. I wish I knew what medication it was!
To all many thanks for your recommendation...I really appreciated
