Hi I am new to the group and then barely been out of surgery and treatment for eight months and I’ve already had a reoccurrence I have non-small cell lung cancer andeocarcinoma.

Doctors haven’t decided whether surgery or radiation or what they’re going to do yet so I’m having a difficult time I’m very distraught just looking for support and survivors and update the odds thank you

Good Morning Orca55,Reocurrence sadly does sometimes occur, but, take solace if you can that this may only be a once off repeat and treatable.

The dreaded word in all cancer patients is RECURRENCE .

Remain hopeful, this too shall pass.

The one thing all cancer patients have in common is a fear of recurrence; the "once bitten twice shy" syndrome. On the same day I was told there was no longer any evidence of disease for my lung cancer I was told I had a gastrointestinal stromal tumor and on my visit last week I was told I have yet another suspicious lung nodule.I'm going to have a t-shirt made that says "I will until I can't". I beat it twice and if it keeps coming back I will continue to fight. I will not live in fear of cancer.
