Citalopram is an antidepressant and can make RLS worse. Maybe the Pregablin isnt working properly because of the anti-d. Most anti-d's will make RLS worse.

Here is a website you can look at which gives a list of anti-d's to avoid. it also gives loads of info for RLS. rlshelp.org

Thank you Elisse. I will be hopefully coming off the Citalopram soon. I think my RLS has been worse since I've been taking that, come to think of it. Thanks for the website address.

I seem to be better now I am not taking my anti depressant drugs, although please be careful about coming off any drug.

In my experience the chemist is the best person to talk to about drugs, I treat mine as my 'Meds Consultant', GP's are general and all other consultants understand drugs that effect their area of expertise. The chemist is a meds only resource. Lloyd's are great at providing this service.

Thanks for the advise Bob. I will be careful. I came off some once much too quickly and made myself quite ill. Won't be doing that again! Thanks .

Be careful with the co-codemol it is very addictive as I found out, I don't take it at all now after going to my doctor and addmitting I was taking up to 100 a week. She prescribed me just codeine because the parecetomol would of been damaging my liver. It didn't take me long to come right of the codeine, about 6 weeks, and I think that was sheer determination on my part. I take 4mg of Clonazapam for my RLS and that is very succesful but unfortunatly also very addictive, but it is the only thing that has worked for many years. So I have no intention of giving that up and going back to pacing round the living room when im watching telly, when we have friends over trying to play a game. Life was hell for everyone with me doing a flypast in the middle of Eastenders every 30 seconds. Good luck and hope this has been helpful .
