I’ve been taking it for 2 months as I also suffer benign fasiculation and cramp syndrome so I use diazepam to help relax my muscles it also helps me sleep

I found it very helpful for a time. Even taking one tablet before bed every three nights used to work for me. Eventually, I needed more help, but it was a lifesaver back then.

Definitely safe and can be very helpful. My understanding of benzodiazepines is that they don’t necessarily stop the RLS but they allow you to get to sleep and hopefully stay asleep. Very safe for occasional use and no more than a few nights in a row, but if you’re using it as a long term option, I stress how careful you need to be about withdrawing from the medication. My husband suffered a benzo withdrawal before we met, and 13 years later still suffers because of that withdrawal.

Also be so careful about taking other medications with it. I saw someone in another forum taking both benzos and opioids to sleep and that can cause fatal respiratory depression :(
