Have .250 mg sifrol at 6pm each evening.Habe Augmentation as RLS symptoms start from 5am.

Refuse to take more sifrol(as advised by this forum(thank you!).Panadeine Forte(Paracetamol and 30mg Codeine) usually help but I am worried about taking any codeine so soon after Pfizer vax.

Need some advice PLEASE

I can't advise specifically on this.In my case I would take whatever you have been taking. And maybe some extra paracetamol, if you don't have liver issues.

Is there no advisory site in Oz for Covid. Vaccine issues ?

Good luck.

Only ‘Nurse On Call’ here but I advised not to take any opioids!

I agree with Madlegs not sure what you could take unless any other member has been in the same situation. Here in the UK we can phone a advisory number for all sorts of health problems when surgeries are shut, do you have any out of hours phone number you can call over there. ?

‘Nurse On Call’ advised me not to take any opioids but I’m sure she knew nothing about RLS!

I can't see why taking a normal dose of Codeine would have any negative effect on the vaccine. I'd expect it just to make you more comfortable.

I took co-codamol here in uk combination of codiene & paracetamol. It advises how much you can take in 24hrs. Even if you don't have liver problems, you do need to be careful of the amount of paracetamol. I don't if you can buy codiene without a prescription. I would take whatever makes it easier to live with. I hope you get on OK & my info helps you. My nurologist prescribes me 3 drugs pregablin pramipexole & 60mgs of codiene at night.

Sounds like he didn't have a clue about RLS. Hope you get on OK with new nurologist. But check the RLS Web site it means you can go armed with information. Good luck

My gp in Melbourne prescribes codeine for me as she knows it’s only thing that can help my rls settle. Also a box of 40 lasts a while so she can see I’m not abusing it
