I have not been active on the forum for quite a while, but would be interested if anybody else has noticed what I have. I have been under a lot of stress lately related to my husbands health issues. I am a very bad worrier, and I get a bad knotted sickly stomach and have to push myself to eat. The thing is, that when I am like this, my RLS seems to be hardly active. I’m just wondering if stress triggers something in the body which affects whatever it is that causes RLS.

Stress making RLS symptoms less
Think I’m the opposite! Stress seems to be a trigger for me.
Yes it is strange. I had a tooth out which was very painful and had to have antibiotics for a infection. It was stressful. I didn’t have rls for the 2 weeks then it came back. I probably get it 2 or 3 times a week. Last night I went downstairs had a hot milk then played games on my iPad which took my mind off it and it went off after 1/2 hour. I have done this a few times and seems to work. Probably helps mild to moderate RLS. I also take codeine phosphate for a good nights sleep.
My rls is related either to mind-altering meds such as benedryl or Lectins that take Vit D from the brain.
I'm going through same with hubby, but my rls got really bad. Then I realized the "extra healthy" whole grain cereals and bread I was taking to the hospital to eat could be the cause. I stopped and rls stopped.
Maybe you are doing the opposite? Is something you are NOT eating now possibly a trigger for your RLS?
